Dr Deb Wong

Dr Deb is a specialist paediatric dentist consulting in Melbourne, Victoria (Ascot Vale and Albert Park).
Originally from Wollongong, New South Wales, Deb completed her undergraduate dental studies at the University of Adelaide, receiving the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award and Malcolm Joyner Prize.
After working as a general dentist in private practice in Newcastle, New South Wales, Deb and her husband moved to Melbourne to call the most liveable city home, and completed specialist paediatric dentistry training at the University of Melbourne, obtaining a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Paediatrics). Her research on the medical and dental aspects of chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome has been published internationally.
Deb has worked in multidisciplinary teams at the Royal Children’s Hospital and the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne. She is committed to continued education and is involved in residency teaching of new graduate general dentists.
Deb has a calm, gentle and friendly nature that makes her great with children.
More recently, Deb completed a Graduate Certificate in Health Psychology, in order to better care for her little ones.
Outside of dentistry, Deb enjoys playing the piano, having completed a few diplomas (LMusA, AMusA, CMusA), running with her husband and fashion photography. Above all, Deb and her husband treasure family time with their baby daughter (and recently adopted Scottish Fold cat, Popsicle).
